The house of letters
Since 2005, the Buchstaben Museum (The Museum of Letters Organization) in Berlin has salvaged all the old signs taken down to be replaced by updated / new ones. Can you imagine is the States (or even JUST VEGAS) had a museum like this? Buchstaben doesn't only include Berlin shop sign letters, but from abroad too. Visits are by appointment only, but something tells me this is a museum not to be missed to design and type geeks. Consider it the retirement home of sign letters.
