I've always liked maps (as I keep saying) and globes are no different. Except that I prefer old antique ones to the plastic cyan ones for kids. But then again, even those plastic ones can be fantastic when displayed in a different setting, like Benoit Vieubled's 2m high globe chandelier which consists of 15 different coloured globes which hangs in the centre of a spiraling staircase. Benoit specializes in lighting design, and most of his works make use of globes or are earth inspired. This beauty is called “Monde à l’endroit, Monde à l’envers” literally maning 'World to the place, World upside down'.
