Suzanne Kasler's Atlanta home

is featured in the April issue of Architectural Digest. Softly hued, symmetrical and elegant interiors are now becoming the Atlanta look. Phoebe Howard, Liz Williams and Kasler all work in the city and exemplify this appealing style. Let's pick up some style notes...
*every element neutral except pops of pink... roses in short vases
*pale kilim with soft blue which is then picked up in a gray blue shade in the wing chair, side chair and pillows on the cream sofa
*gold leaf on the mirror over the mantle and pair of frames on console
*lots of seating, two sofas, five occasional chairs and a wing chair
*dark cream panels with grey trim
*trendy small piece...the lucite cocktail table
* wood tables in the room are dark stained
*gallery wall frames are white, spaced tightly
*the artwork is modern
*everything perfectly balanced

*classic white cabinetry
 *white subway tiles
*pewter chargers on hood add pattern and shine
*purple linen slipcovers add color and comfort
*the branches and pedestal of oranges add freshness and life to the space
*the antique step ladder adds interest
*the table and glassware fade into the background of the glass fronted cabinetry
*the linen french side chair provides a break from the white

*gorgeous Italian style painted chandelier
*beautiful muted orange as the accent color in the french chair and throw
*Hermes orange tray on suede ottoman, I think this is too bright for the room
*brown gourd lamp adds an interesting shape
*everything else cream...stone mantle, wall color, panels, sofa upholstery
*modern art over mantle with soft lilac, adds a new color to the space, appealing color combination
*mantle accessories small, grouped together and off center
*pink flowers paired with orange accents is trendy addition to the room

*includes pieces from her Ballard Designs line
*all grey/beige tones
* desk and set of chairs makes the room special
*lamp should be on the desk
*gold wall sunburst mirror pulls the eye up
*little pop of orange on the bookshelves brightens the space

*statement gold leaf table with stone top pops next to the white chairs and walls
*sunburst mirror is painted
*intaglios framed on the gallery wall pulls the eye to the back of the space
*painted grey double doors with brass knobs open into the room
*two sets of painted doors are not matching but look great
*soft pattern in white carpet

*the windows take up the entire wall and make the room
* the cross detail on the transoms is unique and interesting
*mixing neutrals with the fabrics...grey, warm cream, white, soft tan on bench and bed accent pillow
*grey poster and grey duvet, the duvet is too washed out, white duvet would look fresh
*white bedside gourd lamps
*white patterned carpet looks wall to wall

*the pink is so pretty here, really pretty!
*same carpeting as master or similar
*cable throw, sunburst and gold leaf frame on chair create detail
*throw pillow keeps the room calm instead of adding a new pop of color

*chrome details look great with the marble and pink window treatment and wallpaper
*perfect lighting choices
*love the little cream chair
