The Secret Life of Toys

Photographer Marcos Minuchin sets out to imagine the possibilities in a series of prints that depicts the untold, candid moments in a toy’s life. The results are these thought provoking, humorous and colourful photos. They're on sale at Fab.com if anyone loves them as much as I do.
The Secret Life of Toys was created out of a necessity; my need to find something to channel my creativity without censorship. Why toys? Because they’re honest, they’re excellent storytellers, and they work long hours without complaining.

Dear-Blank

Dear-blank-please-blank is an amusing website by Jared Wunsch and Hans Johnson. Readers are asked to submit simple, but funny, letters in the format of “Dear…blank, Please…blank, Sincerely… blank”.

The submissions range from hilarious to hilariously wrong, with readers voting up the best ones.

The photos you see here are the result of a collaboration between Dear blank Please blank and Sapling Press to turn the best submissions into elegant white cards, most of which are available on Etsy.

Santam spoofs Nando's for spoofing Santam

I love when advertisers take a copycat ad and challenge the copycat. What would be even more fantastic is if Nando's accepted Santam's request (for copying them...) and did deliver the requested meals to the children's home. Watch the ads in the order posted to understand what I'm talking about. Nando's gets a taste of its own medicine.

Godiva's dripping interiors

Godiva Chocolatier is one of the most elegant Belgian hand crafted chocolate brands in the world, founded back in 1926.  The identity of the brand is perfectly reflected in interior of their Japanese store, designed by Wonderwall Architects, which features dripping and melting ceilings and wall. The shop keeps a primarily classical interior otherwise, with the dripping ceiling giving it a modern and cartoon-like twist.

If logos told the truth

Swedish designer Viktor Hertz designs these tongue-in-cheek honest logo of popular brands,  including Apple as Appearance Costs, Facebook as Procrastination, Budweiser as Bellyexpander and Porche as Penis Extender (pahahaha). See them all on his Behance page here.

The C word

Crisps, crisps, crisps....distinctly British crisps that is! Enter Tyrrell's new look by Big Fish. It's a tweaked version of the original design, but what a difference!. The new site also invites fans to upload their own photos and suggest new flavours which could be the next pack. I love the quirky photographs used and the elegant understated typography on spot colours. Crunch!

Safe planking

Random planking pictures I found online. Some are great, but there are many epic fails, even one Aussie getting arrested for planking on a police car. Enjoy doing it with your friends, safely! It's not official if your picture doesn't go online (one of the rules of the game).

Ken Jeong photobombs GQ's latest sexy photoshoot for the August 2011 issue. Sexy and funny at the same time....bahahaha!!! Love it.

Fresh T-shirts

Fun t-shirt designs inspired by supermarket packaging. The range includes cheese, bread, meat, lettuce and slush puppy, all packaged in their respective packs, as the real product would be. I think I'd buy one of these just to keep it in it's pack. I can't find more information about these, but the link is here.
