Creative Things To Make With Old Crystal & Glassware

Glass flower vases, candy dishes, crystal salad bowls, candle sticks, even old glass light fixtures - yes, I'm talking glassware!

You know, that pretty glassware and crystal that tends to pile up after a while but you just sort of don't want to throw it away.

Maybe you've inherited some pieces from great aunt so-and-so.

It's time to catch up -

I don't know everything about blogging, but I'm pretty sure that 2 posts in a year doesn't cut it.  That's changing today (and not just because this technically makes it 3).

ReclaimedWreckage.Blogspot.com is going to become the re-recycled home of all things DIY projects and RW updates.

Here's a sample of what's been going on...

How To Disassemble A Wooden Shipping Pallet

Recycling shipping pallets into furniture, home decor and art is currently one of the biggest DIY trends! But before you can create anything with wood pallets, you first need to take them apart!

Because they are made for the shipping industry, pallets are built for strength.  This means they are usually sturdily assembled and sometimes they can be difficult to dismantle. The nails

Jeans & Denim: Recycled, Upcycled and Repurposed

While perusing the world of recycled and upcycled denim and repurposed jeans, I noticed that there were some really dated recycled jean skirt projects floating around out there on the internet! Vintage costume jewelry is one of those things that's really fun to upcycle into something new. Why? Because...well, they're pretty, and sparkly, and girlie... and if you're lucky enough to inherit some from your family, the pieces have a special meaning, since they are a connection not only to the past, but to the past of someone you love.

Vintage Wood Crates: Upcycled & Repurposed

I'll never forget the surprise I got when I bought my first house (which was an estate sale - we bought the house and everything in it, and spent the first two weeks going through all the stuff and cleaning it all out!) ...and in the kitchen was an old white painted pie-safe-type cabinet with various odd-sized drawers.
